MSB offers last chance to pay fines ahead of warrant roundup

Municipal Services Bureau (MSB) is partnering with Texas jurisdictions to remind people with outstanding warrants to make payment in full on outstanding fines while they still have a chance. For the “Warrant Round-Up,” MSB is working with Texas courts to enhance the effort by Texas cities and counties. MSB will be sending notifications to defendants to remind them to pay up or face arrest. The roundup starts on Feb. 16 in most areas. People with fines still have time to resolve their obligations before the threat of arrest.

“We are giving defendants the opportunity to clear their name before the annual statewide Round-Up begins,” said MSB Chief Operating Officer Med Fadel. “If you receive a letter or a phone call from us, please take note as it may be your last reminder about an unpaid balance.”

MSB is now sending letters and calling those in delinquent status to collect on these accounts. “We're doing our part to expedite the process of bringing these accounts to closure, especially since it may just be a forgotten obligation or fee,” Fadel said.

MSB collects delinquent court fines, fees and debts for a wide variety of governmental entities nationwide. Gila Group specializes in outsourced collections and customer service functions for financial institutions. For more about Gila Corporation, visit www.GilaCorp.com or call (800) 568-7004.
