Abrakadoodle to match Pennies of Love

Abrakadoodle Remarkable Art Education has a partnership with Pennies of Love, the charity started by 8-year-old Brianna Vogel. After reading Brianna's story in the Hill Country News in February, local Abrakadoodle owner Geraldine Smythe contacted Brianna and her family to provide a donation and a challenge to the local community of Cedar Park to raise 30,000 pennies for Pennies of Love.
Abrakadoodle will donate a minimum of $150 in new Crayola supplies to Brianna's latest cause, aiming to fill 1,000 bags with art supplies and activities for children at the Children's Hospital. Abrakadoodle will also match up to $300 worth of art supplies for donation to Pennies of Love's latest campaign, an effort to raise 30,000 pennies by June 15, 2008. (Pennies of Love does accept denominations besides coins!)
The idea behind Pennies of Love came to Brianna at the age of 5 when she and her family were at the hospital to accompany her little brother, Devon, for his sometimes long treatments for Common Variable Immune Deficiency.
Abrakadoodle and Pennies of Love will officially kick off their 30,000 pennies challenge at the Cedar Park Egg-stravaganza on March 16 in Elizabeth Milburn Park.
