Vista Ridge graduate Jacqueline Johnson, Miss Teen Texas 2008, made a special appearance at New Hope Manor in Cedar Park on July 31. She gave the residents a “Bingo Gift Basket” filled with a variety of items to be used for bingo prizes.
Jacqueline is the daughter of Vicki Johnson and Toby Doyal, both of Leander. Her platform during her reign is “Anything Benefiting the Elderly.”
Johnson has a passion for recognizing and commending the contributions of our senior citizens. This dedication stems from the spiritual influence and upbringing she received from her great-grandmother, who passed away in 2006.
“My great-grandmother, Christine Johnson, passed away at 95, and she was a well-noted Texas poet who taught me to appreciate the spiritual side of life,” Johnson said. “By having elderly people in my life, I feel ‘complete' around them.”
Johnson plans to pursue a degree in communications.
