The Leander Independent School District began teaching their chosen human sexuality curriculum, Austin LifeGuard (ALG), in October. LISD Communications Coordinator Matt Mitchell said the district has used the same program for at least 13 years.

Review of the human sexuality curriculum occurs every three years through the School Health Advisory Council (SHAC), for grades 7, 8 and 9.
