Austin Children’s Dentistry welcomes new dentist

Austin Children’s Dentistry welcomes Dr. Litza LeFebre to its North Austin location. Born in Cuba, she spent her childhood in Florida, before obtaining her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Nova Southeastern College of Dental Medicine and her undergrad in Psychology from Florida International University.

Affectionately known as “Dr. L” by her patients, Dr. LeFebre is a constant participant in the American Dental Association’s Give Kids a Smile program, and completed a mission trip to Jamaica with her dental class. She also loves animals and traveling.

Dr. LeFebre is a general dentist and, as Tal Shohamy, Austin Children’s Dentistry CEO explains, “Most of our dentists are pediatric dentists, but as kids develop permanent teeth – around 10 to 12 years old – they want to see a general dentist. We started providing general dentistry about three years ago and got a really good response from the parents, especially as many of them wanted their dentist to be at the same location as their children.”

As a dentist committed to community involvement, Dr. LeFebre will find Austin Children’s Dentistry a good home as they work with more than 50 local schools and hundreds of daycares, providing education, sponsoring activities and events, and generally helping student enrichment.

“Austin Children’s Dentistry has been doing the right thing by our children for more than 40 years and now we’re fortunate enough to have second-generation clients,” Shohamy said.

Austin Children’s Dentistry has five locations in Austin, Leander, Round Rock and Hutto.
