Last weekend, Leander ISD schools hosted a preseason tournament spread among four campuses — with Vandegrift leaving the area to compete in a tournament in Dallas.
This week, area teams are back in action with Vista Ridge, Leander and Rouse competing in a tournament hosted by Manor High School.
Cedar Park will play in the Central Texas Invitational, splitting time between fields at East View High School and Stony Point High School.
District play gets underway on March 17, with teams playing a pair of games each week against the same opponent, with each team hosting one of those district meetings.
Cedar Park, the 2014 District 24-4A champion, will kick off district play against Dripping Springs, hosting the second meeting on Thursday, March 17 at 7 p.m.
Leander will face Georgetown that same week, traveling on Tuesday and hosting Thursday night’s game at 7 p.m.
Vista Ridge will play Marble Falls to begin the district schedule, hosting Tuesday night, March 17, at 7 p.m.
Vandegrift hosts East View on March 17 and travels on Thursday night.
Rouse, the last-place finisher in 24-4A last year, will begin District 13-6A play against Pflugerville March. 17.
