Biking without a light leads to arrest

A bicyclist stopped for riding without a light at night turned out to be a suspect in several Cedar Park-area burglaries.

Cedar Park police officers stopped the suspect, Christopher David Harper, on April 18 and noticed that Harper’s bike and backpack matched those used by a suspect police have been seeking in connection with the burglaries of the Best Pawn Shop on March 29, The Gun Store on April 1 and Best Pawn on April 15.

Harper was arrested and booked into the Williamson County Jail, charged with three felony counts of burglary of a building. Court records show Harper was being held on combined $18,000 bond.
