Blanket drive a big success

Happy Tails Pet Resort announced that their Winter Blanket Drive benefiting Texas Humane Heroes was successful.

Thanks to the generosity from the community and clients, they were able to donate 98 blankets to the nonprofit pet adoption agency this week.

“We were touched and grateful when we received a call from Brenda expressing her interest in developing a special project to help our homeless dogs and cats, a project which could also include her clients and the community,” Kristen Huguley, Executive Director of Texas Humane Heroes, said.

After a brainstorming session, the Winter Blanket Drive was created.

“During the cold months, blankets are extremely important to not only keep our animals warm, but to provide comfort while they wait for adoption to a permanent home,” Huguley said. “Texas Humane Heroes relies on community support to continue our mission and people like Brenda who show an incredible amount of care and love to fuel the passion for saving the lives of these animals.”

“I selected Texas Humane Heroes for a community outreach project because the outstanding work they do is very close to my heart. The organization provides a great service to our community,” Brenda Tatro, Happy Tails Pet Resort owner, said.

Happy Tails Pet Resort provides quality boarding and daycare services for dogs and cats in Central Texas. Located in Cedar Park, HTPR is family-owned and operated and has been in business for 15 years.
