Some TxTag users are reporting incorrect account statements in what appears to be a technical glitch, according to a statement from the highway digital toll company.
The company said it has been working with EZTag and TollTag to have the toll systems of Kansas and other states work seamlessly with Texas toll tag users' tags and accounts. In the process of sharing the account information with the other toll authorities, the info was "delayed", causing some Pay by Mail invoices and violations issued in error.
If your account has received an invoice or violation in error, officials said to call the agency with which you established your TxTag, TollTag or EZTag account.
There's been a high volume of calls, so expect long wait times, officials said.
