Markison scored seven goals with 27 assists last season, his third in the AHL

The Texas Stars’ roster continues to take shape as the NHL offseason ramps up.

Colin Markison will return to Cedar Park next season after signing a one-year deal, the team announced Thursday. Veteran forward Travis Morin signed on to suit up for his 10th season with the team on Monday.

Markison will play his fourth season in the AHL and second straight with the Stars.

He scored seven goals with 27 assists in the regular season last year and added three goals and two assists in 22 playoff games, helping Texas advance to the Calder Cup Finals for the third time in franchise history.

Markison has 13 goals and 45 assists in 146 career AHL games and played college hockey at the University of Vermont.
