Inside of you are seeds of greatness. You are called to be unique yet distinguished; fearfully and wonderfully made. Your life up to this point may reflect accomplishments here and there. Or you may think the past holds your greatest days or worst experiences, but I’m here to tell you there are additional seeds of greatness laying within you.
Seeds are a unit of reproduction. Seeds wait to germinate until three needs are met; water, correct temperature, and good location. It is important to note, seeds do not remain in the same state. When you think of seeds in relation to life, you may need to develop them. Hardship can try to bury them. Opposition may come to outweigh it. But that doesn’t mean the seeds of greatness are not there.
The bible teaches us we are fearfully and wonderfully made. Humans are created in God’s image. The Hebrew meaning for fearful in the text Psalms 139:14 where we reference the title of this article means to cause astonishment and awe. Did you realize what lays within you is so incredible it causes awe? The Hebrew meaning for wonderfully made is: to be distinct and distinguished. Whatever opposition you have experienced thus far in life, and for some of you that is much, it does not outweigh the promise God has for your life. God created you to be distinct, distinguished, astonished, and in awe.
There was a couple in the bible unable to conceive. This couple, Manoah and his wife, were visited one day by an angel. The angel gave them a prophetic word, specific instructions, and insight to God’s plan. Soon after, they had a child. His name was Samson. Samson became the next Judge of Israel. He judged Israel for 20 years. The seed of greatness was inside of Manoah’s wife. Manoah’s wife never gave up on the word the Lord had given her. Whatever God has promised you, has the ability to come too pass. You may have experienced a season where there was no productivity, but God’s promises are perennial. Samson was the manifested seed of Manoah and his wife’s promise. Their seed changed history forever. Samson was able to subdue and conqueror, because God’s promise was still in place. Never allow one season to determine or speak a different course than what the promise has communicated.
What legacy, impact, and influence lays within you? Water your seeds of greatness. Develop them, expose them, and may the fruitless areas of your life manifest favor, greatness and change. No one is too damaged to be used for God’s glory. No word spoken over your life has the power to hold back the seeds of greatness put in you by our Creator. No matter what has come your way, know you are distinguished, awe inspiring, loved, appreciated and approved. Run after your purpose. You are fearfully and wonderfully made.
