Four arrested, one injured in Cedar Park shooting

Cedar Park police detained four suspects with one still at large in a shooting incident Wednesday night that left three people with minor injuries, police said.

Police responded to reports of a shooting at 11:50 p.m. at the 3000 block of Colonial Parkway, south of the east Whitestone Blvd. H-E-B. Upon arrival, officers found one adult male with a gunshot wound to his hand. He said he was chased by five males with weapons in attempt to steal his backpack, police said.

As the resident neared their door, the suspects fired a shotgun toward the victim, striking him in the hand and causing debris from the door to strike two adult residents inside the home. The suspects fled the scene with the backpack.

No one was transported by emergency medical services.

Officers were able to locate four of the five suspects in the shooting, who have been booked into the Williamson County Jail and charged with aggravated robbery and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Another suspect, whose identity is unknown, is still at large. Authorities say there is no danger to the public as they believe the victim was specifically targeted. The case remains under investigation.
