Leander ISD hired a new executive to oversee IT for the district, officials said.
Superintendent of Schools Dan Troxell, Ph.D., announced Laurie Vondersaar as the new Senior Executive Director for Information Technology Services.
“As the new head of LISD’s Information and Technology Services, Ms. Vondersaar’s rich background and industry experience will guide the district as it strives to meet the ever-increasing needs of 21st-century learners,” Dr. Troxell said. “In providing support services, our focus will continue to be on providing excellent customer service to our students, teachers and staff.”

Prior to entering administration, Vondersaar worked with students as an Instructional Technology Specialist and as a teacher.
“I am excited to become a part of the LISD family,” Vondersaar said. “I look forward to working alongside such a successful team of educators, administrators and students.”
