Twenty-three-year old Angeline Caresse Hoyle of Cedar Park, and twenty-four-year-old Patrick Thompson Webb, Jr. of Houston, were found dead inside a Kia passenger car that had hit a tree in the 2900 block of Hero Way on Feb. 25.

The fatal wreck happened around 3:30 a.m.

Investigators reported that Webb was headed west on Hero Way when he left the two-lane road and went into a ditch on the north side of the street, lost control, came back across the two lanes before crashing into a tree on the south side of the road. The road’s speed limit it 45 mph.

According to the Leander Police Department, a passerby noticed the accident and called police at 3:35 a.m. The Leander Fire Department and the Williamson County EMS arrived at the scene of the accident and were able to determine that the collision took place not long before the phone call.

Hero Way was closed for several hours following the wreck.

According to police speed was likely a factor in the crash. Investigators are waiting on toxicology reports on Webb to determine if alcohol was a factor in the accident. Police said Webb and Hoyle were last seen around 2 a.m. at a downtown Austin bar.
