Lock down lifted at Cedar Park High School


The lock down at Cedar Park high School has been lifted with one student in custody, but no weapon found on the campus. The notification below was sent to campus parents:

The lockdown has been lifted at Cedar Park High School. LISD thanks the Cedar Park Police Department for their efforts to positively resolve this matter.

As stated earlier, a student was reported to be in possession of a weapon on campus. The report was found to be false.

We encourage you to discuss the situation with your student. Please know that our guidance counseling staff is available to assist any student in need.

The safety and security of our students is our top priority, and as part of our safety protocols our school practices lockdown drills. CPHS staff and students initiated lockdown protocols as practiced.
