Mabel Ministries 5th Annual Christmas Cookies for the Homeless

Posted by MabelMinistries

Drop off your homemade cookies, baked with love, on Saturday, 14 December 2019 between 11 AM and 1 PM.

Bless those without a home by giving joy and helping them to feel loved, not forgotten, at Christmas!

Since 2015, Mabel Ministries has annually packaged hundreds of gifts of homemade cookies at Christmastime; and in 2019 we added an Easter tradition.

Along with your homemade cookies, we will enclose a Christmas card with a handwritten, inspirational Bible verse. We also partner with United Way of Austin to include bilingual 2-1-1 hotline cards to connect people with area services.

Please join us in volunteering to bake with friends and family, distribute cookies, or make a donation.

We hope that as you bless others with your baking, you'll establish new traditions with your friends and family that will in turn bless you through the experience.

The gifts are distributed to those without a home at the Street Youth Ministry, The Nest Empowerment Center, Home Cooked Fridays, and to Bags of Grace MInistry to distribute on Christmas Eve after the shelter closes.

Please refrain from using nuts in your recipes. Please allow your cookies to completely cool before putting them in a large ziploc, or tupperware before dropping off at Mabel Ministries. :)
