Man arrested in connection with shooting incident at Round Rock apartment complex


The Round Rock Police Department on Thursday arrested a man in connection with a shooting at an apartment complex at 2500 Louis Henna Blvd that left one person injured.

Kahli Tyren McQuitty was arrested on a charge of aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon, according to a news release from the RRPD.

The initial 911 call to RRPD came at 7:41 a.m. Thursday. The release said that officers who arrived at the apartment complex — Townhomes at Double Creek — learned that shortly after a man drove into the apartment complex, he was robbed at gunpoint by another man.

A third person was also injured in connection to the incident and as of Thursday was in stable condition.

Cedar Ridge High School, near where the incident occurred, was briefly locked down but reopened at 8:30 a.m.

The police department is currently investigating the incident.
