Posted

 • Water Reclamation Plant

Council approved a contract for $1.1 million with Excel Construction Services for scheduled facility improvements at the city's water reclamation facility.

• CPPD Shooting Range

The council approved spending $440,486 on a new shooting range with judgment simulator for the Cedar Park Police Department. The new facility will allow training at any time and offer officers more realistic training opportunities.

• CTRMA Resolution

The council passed a resolution encouraging the Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority to begin planning local projects connected to the 183A toll road. Proposed projects of particular interest locally include the addition of frontage roads on 183A between Avery Ranch and FM 1431 and the extension of 183A north past Highway 29 near Seward Junction.

The cities of Round Rock, Leander and Liberty Hill and Williamson County have already passed similar resolutions. The resolutions do not bind the CTRMA to any action.

Watch for more on these issues in future issues of the Hill Country News.
