Norma Jean Domel Kaase, 79, of Cedar Park, passed away on Wednesday, August 22, 2018. A Visitation with the family was held on Monday, August 27, 2018 from 6 pm until 8 pm, at The Gabriels Funeral Chapel in Georgetown, TX. Funeral Services celebrating her life were held at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 700 W. Whitestone Blvd., Cedar Park, TX, on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at 10 am, Rev. Dr. Martin Brauer officiating, with the burial following at IOOF Cemetery in Georgetown, TX.

Norma was born on Christmas Day, 1938 in Walburg, Texas to Ernest Paul and Martha Ruth Neitch Domel. She was raised in the Walburg community. Norma graduated the 8th grade as Salutatorian at Zion Lutheran School, and Valedictorian at Hutto High School in 1957. She married Edmond “Eddie” Kaase on November 2, 1957, at Zion Lutheran Church in Walburg and quickly started a family and then later settled in Cedar Park. Together they shared 57 wonderful years of marriage.

Norma, Eddie and their four children were long time members of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Cedar Park, Texas and Norma was a member of the LWML at Good Shepherd. Norma loved playing and watching sports, basketball and softball especially. She was even on the bowling team at Redeemer Lutheran. She loved to travel and go camping. One of her favorite things to do was polka dance with Eddie. When her children were young, she loved to sew clothes for them and her daughters’ dolls, she also made a few drill team outfits for her nieces, and later made her 2 oldest daughter’s wedding dresses and bridesmaid dresses. You could always count on Norma to finish the daily crosswords in the paper and playing bingo with her friends. She was indeed a woman of many verses, but her truest enjoyment and greatest legacy was her family and friends.

Norma was preceded in death by her parents, husband Edmond “Eddie” Kaase, son- in- law Billy Johnson, and three great grandchildren, Isabella Sienna Scotto d’Antuono, Dillon Patrick Henehan and Julian Thomas Weiss.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children Jennifer Johnson and significant other Greg Wood, Debra Culver and husband Charles, Sharon Patterson and husband James and Donald Kaase and wife Stacey; her siblings Joann Moerbe and late husband Charles, Ernest Paul Domel Jr and wife Becky, and Margaret Wood and husband Ron; grandchildren, Arlette Tepe, Nathan Richards, Joey and Justin Johnson, Aaron Richards, Heather Weiss, Megan Richards, Tamara Shear, James Patterson, and Hunter and Harper Kaase; 13 great grandchildren and numerous other loving family members and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations or memorial contributions be made to Altus Hospice.
