The Spurs dropped their third straight game, falling 89-88 on the road against the Oklahoma City Blue on Tuesday night.

Austin led but 13 points headed into the fourth quarter, but the Blue outscored them 30-16 in the final quarter. Oklahoma City center Dakari Johnson hit the game-winning free throw with 10 seconds left.

Charles Garcia had his best game of the season so far, scoring 20 points. Jarell Eddie scored 18 points with five rebounds and Ryan Arcidiacono had 10 points and six assists. Cory Jefferson had eight points to go along with 14 rebounds.

Austin drops to 4-5, three and a half games behind the Sioux Falls Skyforce (8-2) for the Southwest Division lead and four games behind the Northern Arizona Suns (8-1) for the Western Conference lead.

The teams traded the lead in the first quarter until a 7-0 run by the Blue to end the period. The back-and-forth play continued into the second quarter, but Austin went on an 8-0 run to take a lead it would take to the half.

The Spurs dominated the third quarter, outscoring the Blue 29-18, led by Eddie with 10 points in the quarter on 4-of-5 shooting. The Blue started the final quarter on a 13-0 run to cut the lead to one point.

Oklahoma City looks its first lead of the second half when Daniel Hamilton made two free throws with 35 seconds left. Eddie responded with two free throws to tie the game with 10 second left, but Jefferson fouled Johnson and hit one of two to win the game.

The Spurs continue their five-game road trip in California against the Santa Cruz Warriors Friday at 9 p.m. Austin next plays at home on Dec. 18 at 3 p.m. when the Westchester Knicks come to town.
