Glenn and Cedar Ridge each finished atop the district standings in their respective classifications, and the top starting pitcher from each team took home the top district honors as well.
Glenn freshman Rileigh Harris was a huge contributor in the Lady Grizzlies winning their first-ever district title in their first year in Class 5A, earning District 17-5A MVP honors in her first high school season.
Senior Tori McCann helped the Lady Raiders go undefeated in district play and advance to the third round of the playoffs and was named District 13-6A MVP in the All-District awards.
McCann wasn’t the only member of the Cedar Ridge team to earn superlative honors as Camryn Middlebrook was the Defensive Player of the Year and head coach Jessica Poole was the Coach of the Year.
Leander’s Bailey Brandon was the District 13-6A Offensive Player of the Year, and Westwood freshman Elizabeth Joyner was named the league’s Newcomer of the Year.
Cedar Park senior Kaleigh Ham was named the District 17-5A Offensive Player of the Year, while her freshman teammate Avery Evans was named the co-Newcomer of the Year, as they helped the Lady Timberwolves advance to the second round of the playoffs.
