Chody out-raises, outspends other county candidates

Incumbent (R) Sheriff Robert Chody out-raised and outspent everyone in the entire county in his campaign for re-election. Chody raised $23,945 and spent $56,267.36. He received several large donations, including $7,500 from Dr. Michael Daigle, $5,000 from Troy and Mary Rodriguez, $2,500 from Jim Schwertner and three $1,000 donations from other individual donors. Mike Gleason, retired Williamson County Police Chief, is running as a Democrat against Chody. Gleason raised and spent substantially less than Chody, raising $2,678.30 and spending $1,992.50.
