CEDAR PARK — Two teenagers are facing felony charges after a Wednesday night drug bust at Cedar Park Townhomes that resulted in seizure of drugs, a shotgun and an AR-15 rifle.

Capt. Jeff Hayes said the police Special Response Team made entry into 400 East Cypress Creek Road No. 1803 where police were serving a narcotics search warrant which resulted in the arrest of:

  • Jordan Spitsnaugle, 18, possession of a controlled substance and delivery of marijuana, and possession of marijuana.
  • Kevin Utterback, 19, possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana.
  • Tyler Broyles, 19, was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia.

Police said they confiscated an AR-15(M-4) rifle and shotgun, however there was no immediate indication as to who the weapons belonged to, and no firearms charges were filed immediately.

EDITOR'S NOTE: An earlier version of this story described the AR-15 rifle as an "assault rifle." Based on the initial information it was unclear as to whether the weapon seized could technically be classified as an assault rifle. Hill Country News will follow up on the story Friday.
