After 19 years at its location at 103 Woods Lane in Cedar Park, Hill Country News will be moving its offices to the Discovery Boulevard Business Park Friday, Sept. 22.

The new office address will be 715 Discovery Blvd. Ste. 304.

“Hill Country News has been in this building for two decades,” said Scott Coleman, HCN publisher. “A lot has changed in that time, and a lot about our business has changed. We needed a more modern space that will allow our staff to work more closely together instead of being spread out over two floors.”

The offices will be shut down Friday afternoon and will reopen at the new location at noon Monday, Sept. 25.

During the move, phone service will be unavailable Friday afternoon through Monday morning. Once moved, phone numbers and email addresses will remain the same and will continue to work.

Furniture and various office equipment that won’t be moving will be sold at a sale at the old office building on Woods Lane from 8 a.m. to noon Thursday Sept. 28.

“We’re excited to finish the move,” Coleman said. “Like anyone who’s ever moved offices, it’s a lot of work, but we’re looking forward to the positive changes the new office location and setup will provide us.”

The community newspaper has been operational for 49 years.
