Poetry in the Park

The Downtown Austin Alliance Foundation will host the second ever Poetry in the Park event, taking place underneath the Auction Oak trees at Republic Square on June 11, 2022. The event series provides a platform for poets and spoken word artists in the local Austin area. This family-friendly event will shine a light on voices from the LGBTQ+ and African American communities in observance of Pride Month and Juneteenth.
The open mic will kick off with KB Brookins reading from their collection of poetry and anyone wishing to participate can sign up to recite poetry at the event.
